Virtual Summer Camps

Parents! Keep your kids active this summer with ASC Virtual Summer Camps. With many in-person summer camps, including the Agnes Scott Summer Camps, closing due to the COVID-19 pandemic, your friends in Agnes Scott Athletics have decided to provide parents with support to keep their kids active while at home this summer.

Enhance your skills from home with virtual lessons from our NCAA Division III coaches at Agnes Scott College. Our virtual camps allow us to adhere to social distancing guidelines while building the skills we need when we can safely return to team sports.

Session 1: June 1st - June 26th

Session 2: July 6th - July 31st

All camps from Session 1 are also offered in Session 2 so parents can spread out activities over the summer.

Parents select the virtual camps they want to attend -

  • Enrollment fee: $60 per camper (includes t-shirt and membership for Summer 2020 - one time fee gives you access to enroll in any of the offerings) - Non-Refundable
  • Sport camp fees: $40 each or all 5 for $200
  • Additional Enrollees: Enrollment fee + $10 per camp - ASC employee Discount 20% off camp fees (no discount on enrollment fee)
  • Credits from cancelled on-ground camps can be applied - Parents can “donate” balance to a camper in the community who may not be able to afford the fee
Camp Experience

All Campers will have access to fitness modules on Google Classroom each week along with the skill camp(s) of their choice.

There are 5 camps to choose from:

  • Volleyball
  • Soccer
  • Tennis
  • Basketball
  • Softball

Each week a new module will be uploaded. Camp Modules include:

  • Parent Guide
  • Video lessons with demonstration
  • Weekly fitness challenge
  • Exclusive Facebook Community access
  • Virtual Awards Banquet on Facebook Live
  • Weekly drawings for cool ASC branded prizes

Each coach will create four 30-minute video lessons that will be uploaded each week.

The format for the video lessons include:

  • Dynamic Warm Up
  • Skill Instruction (Drill) - Try to do at ASC to show off our facilities
  • POYO instructions (practice on your own)
  • Inspiration of the Day

As campers improve their skills and think they have mastered the technique, they will upload a video of what they learned to our private Facebook group. They will receive feedback from the ASC camp staff and can leave encouraging comments for their peers.

When campers are not practicing their skills, each module also includes a weekly fitness challenge to keep them moving:

  • Jump Rope Challenge
  • Work out with Victory
  • Fitness Bingo
  • Dance Challenge

  • POW: Post of the Week for each sport. One camper in each sport will be selected each week from the skills post and receive an electronic badge.
  • Completion Certificate (electronic): Presented when you complete each camp
  • All-Star Medal: For campers who complete all 5 camps, a medal will be mailed to them.
  • Superlatives announced on Facebook Live during the virtual banquet - All Stars; Best POW; etc.

Waiver - Use of image; Opt into social media Social media guidelines - parent accounts only in private Facebook Group. Parents will be responsible for posting for their camper. We will not add any youth accounts to our private facebook groups.

Because everyone is at home and a lot of places are still closed, sporting equipment is hard to come by in retail outlets. Campers have the option to purchase equipment they need or buy their own through BSN at their own expense.

  • Jump rope
  • Tennis Ball
  • Tennis Racquet
  • Basketball
  • Softball
  • Volleyball
  • Soccer ball
  • Cones
  • Mat

Campers can pick up their equipment through our contact-free process at ASC or we can mail equipment for a fee
